Sanitary Diaphragm Pump
Europe’s Largest Diaphragm Pump Manufacturer
Our Sanitary Diaphragm Pump is part of our air-operated range and has been specially designed to meet the requirements of the Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic industries. The pump is FDA-approved, ATEX-rated, and can feature flap valves for liquids containing large solids or magnetic ball lifters for simple pump draining.
Available in various executions to meet your operational requirements, these CIP- and SIP-capable pumps are self-priming, can handle solids up to 100mm, and can handle viscosities of 20,000 cPs.
Typical applications for the Sanitary Diaphragm Pump include:
| Specification | Pump Size T30 to T825 |
|---|---|
| Max Capacity (l/min) | 820 |
| Volume per stroke (ml) | 3,281 |
| Max Pressure (Bar) | 8 |
| Max size of solids (ø in mm) | 95 |
| Max Suction Lift Dry (m) | 4 |
| Max Suction Lift Wet (m) | 9 |
| Temperature (°C) | 110 |
Provide solids passage from 50–100 mm and dry suction lifts up to 4.5 m. Ideal for high-viscosity products containing solids.
This protects against valve seat damage caused by the pumped product. If wear occurs, only the valve cup needs to be replaced, not the entire pump.
A heating or cooling medium circulates in the jacket to keep the media at the desired temperature. For applications that could solidify or melt in the pump.
These enable pump emptying without removing it from the installation when no other draining option is available.
Designed for use in potentially explosive environments, made of anti-static PE and PTFE, and can be used in Zone 1 EX.
We offer a full range of connections fitting pumps with standard tri-clamp connections, as well as optional DIN11851 and SMS connections.
The use of double diaphragms reduces the risk of hazardous media leakage into the air distribution system and prevents diaphragm rupture.
The role of Sanitary Diaphragm Pumps in the cosmetics industry and why they’re important.
What the different certifications in the hygienic sector mean and the pump options available.
Why fully FDA pumps are crucial in the brewing sector and how to know if your pump is suitable.
Wetted parts are available in PTFE (including white-backed PTFE), EPDM (white EPDM), and white NBR. All materials are selected for their FDA-compliance, chemical resistance, and cleanability.
Yes. Our Sanitary Diaphragm Pump is available with ATEX-certification for use in explosive gas atmospheres (Zone 1).
Unlike many traditional hygienic pumps, this series features a lubrication-free air system, a maintenance-free ball valve system, and quick disassembly, making it ideal for deep cleaning and inspection tasks. These features reduce downtime, cross-contamination risks and maintenance frequency.
This pump is suited to viscous, sensitive, and semi-solid products, including Dairy (yoghurt, cream, melted cheese), Sauces & Condiments (tomato paste, mustard, mayonnaise), and Personal Care & Cosmetics (gels, creams, fragrances).
