Double mechanical seal option
For diverse application conditions
The CTX-H Pump range is suitable for a variety of hygienic applications within the food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, whilst the CTX-I is suitable for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries where there is the requirement to transfer products from storage tanks or containers. Find a few examples of applications below.
The CTX Range follows a modular concept which allows more flexibility in how the pump can adapt to different application conditions and is easily upgraded to meet changing requirements due to the interchangeability of parts.
Interchangeable parts available:
13 motor sizes
9 lantern sizes
8 shaft sizes
2 seal sizes
3 back cover sizes
10 impeller sizes
10 casing sizes
Impeller
The CTX is designed with a multi-facet open impeller which benefits the pump by stabilising operation and reducing noise and vibrations emitted by the pump.
Open impellers are also ideal for handling applications that are highly viscous and/or have suspended solids.
Tapflo can trim and adapt the impeller to meet the needs of the process media.
Additional design features
Hygienic mechanical seal arrangement which is located on the dry side of the pump which ensures that the mechanical seal doesn’t come into contact with the process medium and means the pump is fully cleanable.
Double Mechanical Seal Option available
Supplier motors feature a built-in inverter which provides full control to the user during operation by influencing the speed of the motor.
Adjustable feet ensure simple adaptation of the pump to the location it is fitted into, including if the location changes.
Brackets to allow the pump to be permanently fixed to avoid movement during operation.
The casing and impeller designs have been optimised for outstanding performance. The shape of the chamber and the impeller are a result of an advanced multivariate analysis and numerous performance tests to ensure that the complete pump design delivers an efficient flow of liquid for end users.
Variety of connections for CTX I and CTX H executions
CTX I: flanged connections according to EN 1092-1 type 11, ANSI 150 or BSPT
CTH H: DIN 1185, DIN 32676 and others on request
Casing Design
CTX I: wetted parts and external surfaces are sandblasted Ra <3.2
CTX H: wetted parts mirror polished to Ra<0.8 as standard (Ra <0.5 on request), external surfaces sandblasted to Ra <3.2
CTX H, High Performance Centrifugal Pump with shroud
Hygienic Design features a shroud
Hygienic shrouds are available for the motor of the CTX H, manufactured from AISI 304L. The shroud acts as protection against flooding and water spray during the pump cleaning process.
Mobile Solutions
The CTX range can also be fitted to a Tapflo trolley unit to provide a mobile pump solution. Ask a member of the team about our bespoke trolley solutions when you enquire!
