There are 3 different execution options within the CTX range: CTX I (Industrial), CTX H (Hygienic) and CTX S (Self-Priming), allowing this range to be used across various applications.

  • CTX series: ATEX rated
  • CTX series: suitable for low to medium viscosity fluids with solids in suspension
  • CTX I: industrial connections with EN1092-1 flange as standard
  • CTX H: hygienic connections with DIN 11851 as standard
  • CTX S: self-priming up to 5m

The CTX I and CTX H can reach higher pressures and are available in larger sizes for a more comprehensive flow range (in comparison to their counterparts, the CTI and CTH pumps.

Operators of the CTX range can expect long-term, trouble-free operation and minimal downtime during maintenance periods thanks to the high strength and compact and reliable design.

The CTX’s architecture is defined by its “modular product concept,” which allows for flow rates up to 132m³/hr and max discharge pressures of up to 100m. The CTX S is self-priming up to 5.

The CTX is easily adaptable and upgradeable to various applications, making pump maintenance and parts stocking simple, cost-effective and manageable.

Though initially designed for tank-to-tank transfer applications, the CTX range can also be used for:

  • Pressure boosting
  • Dispensing
  • Loading and offloading
  • Tank cleaning
  • Batching and metering

  • Robust construction and low noise/vibration levels
  • Low NPSHr
  • Modular design offers versatility with simple maintenance requirements
  • High efficiency for applications requiring optimal performance
  • Adjustable impeller for specific duty points
  • Temperature range up to 120°C (90°C for close-coupled CT range)
  • Inverter built onto the motor
  • Investment cast instead of pressed or rolled AISI 316, either Electro-Polished AISI 316L (0.8 Ra as standard) or Sand Blasted AISI 316L (3.2 Ra as standard)
  • Flows up to 132m³/hr and heads up to 100m
  • Double mechanical seal option
  • Capable of handling low to medium viscosity (500 cPs max) fluids with solids in suspension
  • Single or double mechanical seals
  • ATEX rated

Additional Design Features

  • Hygienic mechanical seal arrangement, located on the dry side of the pump, ensures the mechanical seal doesn’t come into contact with the process medium, meaning the pump is fully cleanable.
  • Double mechanical seal option available.
  • Supplier motors feature a built-in inverter which provides full control to the user during operation by influencing the speed of the motor.
  • Adjustable feet ensure simple adaptation of the pump to the location it is fitted into, including if the location changes.
  • Brackets to allow the pump to be permanently fixed to avoid movement during operation.
  • The casing and impeller designs have been optimised for outstanding performance. The shape of the chamber and the impeller are a result of an advanced multivariate analysis and numerous performance tests to ensure that the complete pump design delivers an efficient flow of liquid for end users.

The CTX-H Pump range is suitable for a variety of hygienic applications within the Food, Beverage, Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries, whilst the CTX-I is suitable for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries where there is the requirement to transfer products from storage tanks or containers. Impeller:

The CTX is designed with a multi-facet open impeller which benefits the pump by stabilising operation and reducing noise and vibrations emitted by the pump.

Open impellers are also ideal for handling applications that are highly viscous and/or have suspended solids.

Tapflo can trim and adapt the impeller to meet the needs of the process media.

Built on inverter: the easiest and most flexible way of changing pump working parameters. The pump and motor are protected from overloading and a soft-start function is included.

Adjustable feet: Easy cleaning of underneath the pump and easy to move location of the pump.

Inducer: increases the inlet pressure and lowers the NPSHr of the pump. This is easy to accommodate even in existing pumps as only the inducer has to be screwed to the impeller.

Hygienic Connections (CTXH only): wide range of connections available such as DIN 11851, DIN 32676, SMS 3017, SMS 1145, RJT and others.

Hygienic Shrouds (CTXH only): the hygienic motor shroud in AISI 304L protects the motor against flooding, deposition of dirt, and from spraying water during pump cleaning procedures.

Flanged Connections (CTXI only): the CTXI is equipped with connections according to EN 1092-1 type 11, ANSI 150 Lbs. Others available on request.

Mounting brackets: Complete pump unit may be assembled on a baseplate which can be permanently fixed to the foundation.
