What is a Diaphragm Drum Pump Used For?

This pump is specifically designed to transfer liquids directly from drums or containers safely and efficiently. Ideal for chemicals, solvents, acids/alkalis, hazardous or flammable fluids (ATEX zones), as well as viscous or solids-laden liquids.

What Makes this Pump Different From a Conventional Drum Pump?

While conventional Drum Pumps have limited solids handling capabilities and aren’t suited to dry running, our Pneumatic Diaphragm Drum Pump handles solids up to 15mm, experiences no damage from dry running, offers low shear transfer and exhibits excellent chemical resistance.

Is this Pump Suitable for Hazardous Environments?

Yes. All Tapflo Diaphragm Drum Pumps are available in ATEX-compliant versions for use in Zone 1 applications.

What Materials are Available?

To ensure compatibility with a wide range of fluids, these pumps are available in PE (polyethylene), for abrasive or chemically aggressive fluids, PTFE for maximum chemical resistance (concentrated acids/solvents), as well as Aluminium or Stainless Steel (AISI 316L), for general industrial or sanitary use. The drum tube is available in PP or PTFE, while the handle is built from Stainless Steel 316L.

How Long Can the Drum Tube Be?

You can specify any length up to 2m, making it suitable for a range of container sizes and installations.

Diaphragm Drum Pump

Our TD Diaphragm Drum Pump is a mobile solution designed for emptying drums and containers. This pump is fitted with a drum tube available in lengths up to 2m and is constructed from PP or PTFE, while the carrying handles are constructed from Stainless Steel AISI 316L. Our Diaphragm Drum Pump dispenses liquids and facilitates change-over from drums, IBCs and containers easily, and offers many advantages when compared with conventional Drum Pumps on the market today.

Our Drum Pump can be easily inserted/removed from barrels, drums and IBCs using the carry frame the pump is connected to, and is well-suited for mobile use. These pumps are fitted with a drum tube in PP or PTFE with lengths up to 2m available, and a handle in Stainless Steel AISI 316L
