Metal Diaphragm Pump CAM Lock Connections

Designed as an optional feature for Metal Diaphragm Pumps. these CAM Lock Connections, adhering to MIL-C-27487 (A-A-59326) standards, streamline the coupling and decoupling process. The coupling is connected by simply opening the coupler arms and inserting the adaptor into the coupler. The CAM Lock arms are then closed under normal hand pressure to complete the joint. Available in Aluminium and Stainless-Steel AISI 316 variants, these connections guarantee secure and efficient fluid handling.

Overview

CAM Lock Materials:

  • The couplings can be made from aluminium and stainless steel AISI 316.
  • Handles are made of stainless steel AISI 304 as a standard for all couplings made of stainless steel.
  • Aluminium couplings are available with stainless steel handles in sizes 1/2”, 3/4”, 1” and brass handles in sizes 1.1/2” and 2”.
  • The standard coupling is supplied with a nitrile rubber or PTFE/nitrile rubber seal placed in the groove of a coupler.

Coding required for special execution

When ordering CAM Lock connections with your Tapflo Diaphragm Pump, you will need to include the connection code to ensure you receive the special execution correctly.

If you decide to order a pump with CAMLOCK please use 3ZA, 3ZS or 3ZSX at the end of the pump code, e.g. T120 STT-3ZS.

  • 3ZA – CAM Lock connection made from Aluminium: This execution features a male coupler screwed into the pumps manifolds.
  • 3ZS – CAM Lock connection made from Stainless Steel AISI 316: This execution features a male coupler screwed into the pumps manifolds.
  • 3ZSX – Manifolds integrated with CAM Lock connections made from Stainless Steel AISI 316: This execution features a male CAM Lock coupling as a one-piece with manifold (welded).

NOTE: As standard Tapflo’s pumps with this special execution do not have counter connections but you can order them from us upon request if required. The counter connections are available with hose and threaded connections for Aluminium CAM Locks and hose, thread and plain weld end for Stainless Steel AISI 316 CAM Locks.
