Pneumatic Level Controllers are systems designed to automate the operation of your Diaphragm Pump. These systems can be used in a variety of applications across the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, and Water Treatment industries. Operated with pneumatic components only, these controllers can be installed in sumps, tanks or tubs to start and stop the pump at specific liquid levels. Manual start with the TPUK-LM version or automatic start with the TPUK-LA.

The panel is 200 x 200 x 130 mm and is available for all Tapflo Diaphragm Pumps and can be supplied in either ABS Plastic (IP55 or 65) and Stainless Steel AISI 316 (IP44).
The level controller utilises low-pressure air passed through dip tubes to detect liquid levels. The system controls the liquid level between the dip tubes and can be configured in either ’filling’ or ’emptying’ modes. The end of the hose “low” (E) (or end of extension pipe) is placed on the desired low level in the sump and the end of the hose “high” (F) is placed on the high-level position. As the liquid is reaching the high-level hose, the pump will either start or stop and pump until the desired liquid level is reached. It is a very accurate system, sensing the levels within a few millimetres.
P1. Air Supply to Pump
The system is manually started and the AODD pump begins pumping emptying or filling the vessel or sump. The pump is then automatically stopped when the liquid surface is detected at the dip tube.

Ambient Temperature | -5 to 40 |
Air Pressure, Bar (G) | 30 – 70 meters |
Pilot Output Flow Rate @ 60 meters with P = 1 | 120 NI/min |
Air Consumption (System Only) | 2 l/min (Average) |
TPUK-LA & LM Level Controllers need either a Blocking Needle Valve (Preferred) or Blocking Valve, sized to suit the pump. The LM can have a TPUK-SSR Remote Start / Stop Controller as an optional extra.
