BBA Self Priming Centrifugal Pump
Tapflo UK are proud to be distributing BBA Pumps to our customers.
BBA are a Dutch, family owned company that were founded in 1953 and have been providing the market with excellent service and pumps for 60 years.
BBA have been manufacturing the B-series range of Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps since the 1980s. These pumps are perfect for a diverse range of applications, from waste water management to construction purposes.
The B-series is fitted with an open impeller, changeable wear plate and non-return valve in the suction port. These pumps are easily maintained and have minimal spare part costs.
The B-series can be supplied in sizes from 1” up to 12” with free passage up to 80mm.
HOW DOES THE BBA B-SERIES WORK?
The rotation of the open impeller draws the air in the suction pipe through the pump. As the air in the suction gets pulled through it creates a vacuum behind it causing the liquid in the tank to be drawn into the pump head. This is shown in the diagram with white arrows representing air and blue arrows representing the liquid.
When the suction pipe no longer contains air, the pump then draws in liquid thus self-priming itself. The non-return valve on the pumps inlet ensures that the media can’t be siphoned back into the holding tank. This guarantees that re-priming is possible immediately.
The B range of pumps has been designed with a clear focus on reliability, efficiency and durability, ranging from 1-1/2ʺ to 12". Featuring an open impeller configuration in combination with a changeable wear plate, facilitating servicing and minimising costs of spares. All B series pumps are fitted with a non return valve in the suction port, eliminating the need for a foot valve in suction line and allowing quick priming.
