The Hygienic Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps
The Hygienic series of Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps consists of 3 main product groups, Sanitary, Aseptic EHEDG and Pharmaceutical.
They are designed specifically for use within the food & beverage, pharmaceutical & cosmetics industries where sanitary equipment is required in order to prevent contamination of the products being pumped. They are ATEX, FDA, EHEDG, USP VI & FDA approved to ensure the highest levels of quality & reliability. Additional components such as Flap & Ball Cup Valves, Heating Jackets and Magnetic Ball Lifters mean these highly innovative products can also be customised to even the most arduous applications.
Tapflo's Hygienic Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps have been innovatively designed with up to 70% fewer parts than other Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps on the market. Fewer components means a pump which is compact as well as easy & quick to maintain. The result is lower service costs and process downtime. The Sanitary series has taken this innovative design philosophy and extended it to be cleanable with the following design features.
The Tapflo Aseptic EHEDG Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps offer an improved version of the innovative design of the standard Sanitary by smoothening out the internal crevices and parts in contact with the fluid to ensure that there is absolutely no areas where bacteria and contamination can build up.
After the CIP procedure, the pump usually has to be drained from the CIP fluid. The Tapflo sanitary series is supplied with a hygienic stand, enabling 360° rotation of the pump unit in 3 simple steps!
Disconnect the pump from the pipework
Loosen the two socket head cap screws on the stand & rotate the pump 180° to let the remaining fluid drain off. The airline may be left connected during this operation.
Rotate the pump back into position and refit the socket head cap screws and reconnect the pipework.
The Tapflo TU Pharmaceutical Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps have taken the innovative design of the standard PE & PTFE series and improved on it by integrating electro-polished SS316L inlet and outlet manifolds with sanitary clamp connections and smoothened out the internal surfaces to ensure no bacterial growth or contamination of the pumped fluid.
