Our LPX Hygienic Lobe Pump is a versatile positive displacement pump widely used in the Hygienic processing industry. Unlike Gear Pumps, the LPX features lobes that don’t physically touch, offering significant advantages for specific media. The LPX is perfect for pumping low and high-viscosity products gently and with minimal shear forces. Designed for energy efficiency, this pump boasts special rotor-shaft mounting for accurate positioning and a backlash-free connection. This design feature allows for lubrication and accounts for thermal expansion. With the unique gear housing design, cross-contamination of the pumped product with gear oils is eliminated, ensuring clean and hygienic operation.

Typical applications for our LPX Hygienic Lobe Pump:

  • Bakery Products
  • Beverage Production
  • Canned Goods
  • Confectionary Products
  • Cosmetics
  • Dairy
  • Meat Production
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Chemical & General Industry

The LPX Hygienic Pump series is the perfect solution for industries needing to pump both low and high viscosity products gently and with low shear forces. These pumps are optimised for energy efficient operations, boasting a design that features a special rotor-shaft mounting. This ensures accurate rotor positioning as well as a backlash-free connection (all components spaced out so contact surfaces don’t touch, allowing for lubrication and accounting for thermal expansion).

Additionally, the unique gear housing design ensures that there is no cross-contamination of the pumped product with gear oils.

  • Solids Handling: max particle size of up to 15mm (particle sizes depending on the pump model)
  • Optimal Efficiency: low noise, low shear forces and energy efficiency
  • Design & Execution: this versatile pump was designed with 4-directional gear housing mounting with the possibility of bi-directional flow, as well as horizontal or vertical mounting. The design also features spacious cavities with large spaces between the lobes – this enables gentle pumping of liquids with large solids
  • Sizing: 8 sizes across a range of models offering maximum capacity of up to 82 m3/hr and a pressure of up to 10 bar
  • Customisable: due to the many executions and sizes available within this range, the pump can be tailored to suit your specific requirements
  • Repair: it is quick and simple to remove and install the pump body and cover
  • Mechanical Seal: single mechanical seal as standard with the option of double mechanical seals available on request. Pumps with flush double mechanical seals can run dry continuously
  • No Cross-Contamination: the gear oil is isolated from the pumped fluid zone due to the unique design of the gear housing
  • CIP/SIP Suited: suited to CIP (Clean in Place) and SIP (Sterilise in Place)
  • Hygiene & Safety: all food contact materials are FDA approved and the pump is fully CE compliant
