Our Electric Diaphragm Pump (EODD) is an alternative, eco-friendly approach to the traditional Air Operated Diaphragm Pump. Driven by a gear motor, this pump converts rotary motion into reciprocating motion, which is achieved through an eccentric shaft with a cam and piston mechanism. The self-priming pump, which is sealless in design, gently pumps the most aggressive media, as well as media containing abrasive particles. For added versatility, these pumps are available in HDPE/PTFE, Metal and Sanitary executions.

Typical applications for our Electric Diaphragm Pump:

  • Chemical
  • Surface Treatment
  • Water Treatment
  • Print, Paint & Varnish
  • Pulp & Paper
  • Hygienic
  • Mechanical

Our Electric Diaphragm Pump is driven by a gear motor, using one diaphragm to create suction while the other diaphragm transmits air pressure to the fluid.

LEAP technology would be the perfect alternative for those installations where an electric drive is not an option. LEAP stands for Low Energy Air Pump, designed and manufactured in the UK.

A LEAP centre section can be fitted to any Tapflo Diaphragm Pump and retrofitted to several other models. LEAP has been designed to operate using less air pressure to save money and energy, helping companies meet budgets and energy-saving targets.

The EODD has several benefits, including:

  • Can be run dry with no damage
  • Has the option to self-prime from a dry suction pipe
  • No hydraulic fluid is required, meaning clean and easy maintenance with no risk of leakage
  • Low spares cost and few components
  • Long diaphragm life
  • ATEX-available for use in hazardous environments

  • Pressure Switch: Due to the potential excessive rise of pressure on the wetted side of the pump, which could cause significant damage to your pump, a pressure switch can be used. This switch is a device used to monitor discharge pressure, protecting closing of the discharge valve
  • Built-on Frequency Inverter: This inverter allows for full control over the operation of your pump by influencing the motor speed
  • TXE Models: Metal and conductive plastic EODD pumps can be used in ATEX Zone 1. The conductive material ensures that no electrostatic loads can accumulate in the pump. The pump unit is equipped with an ATEX-rated coupling, gear motor and air treatment system
